excellent low-risk way to generate income from a website. This

programs can actually cause some problems if you fail to follow some
simple rules:

Never add affiliate
programs on your site which do not add value to the overall purpose

purpose and distract your visitors.

prices, products/services offered by the merchant are a good
value. Otherwise, you will be sending visitors away from your
site and disappointing them with a poor product. That will
hurt your image and will erode the trust of your customers.

Use small graphic links
or text links. The click-through rate on those large,
across-the-page (468X60) banners is only about .5% to 1%.
Advertising space is valuable and should be used with care.

Try to keep the number
of affiliate links on your site to a minimum. Generally 3 or 4
affiliate programs is a good number to use as a maximum.
