The key to using pay-per-click advertising in a way that will bring you business inexpensively is to think like your customers An example of this concept is this: Suppose your company sells used cars in Boston, Massachusetts. You and your competitors all call these cars "pre-owned cars." So you bid on the keyword "pre-owned cars." To be number one, you will have to pay $.26 per click. However, it is very likely that your customers call these vehicles "used cars." Since they want to be able to see the car before they buy it, they will probably look for "used cars in Boston" or "used cars in Boston, Mass." The first choice will cost you two cents. The second will cost you a penny. You may need to put in many keyword phrases to get enough traffic to make a sale, but the effort will save you many dollars in advertising. One word of caution. Use the information that the pay-per-click search engines provide with care. Remember that they are motivated to encourage you to bid to always be on top for the most popular words. Your goal is very different from theirs! Tell your friends about this ezine. Next month I will tell you About the best deal I have found in months. Don't miss it!
